After you obtain your visa, please complete these next steps to prepare for your travel to the USA:
1. Book your flight
The nearest international airport is Chicago O' Hare, which is less than an hour away from campus and central Chicago.
2. Book a hotel
You will need to book a hotel if you are planning to arrive in Chicago before arrival day as you will not be able to move onto campus before this date.
3. Complete immunization form
All health forms will be collected during orientation. You will not be able register for classes in future terms unless the form has been completed. If you arrive without your immunizations, you will be responsible for all fees associated from coming to campus without your immunizations.
4. Complete your housing agreement
You will receive more information on housing agreements directly from the University.
5. Submit your academic documents (transcripts)
During the application process, you provided scans of your original or official academic documents. To finalize the process and confirm your admission, you must submit the following items on or before arrival: Academic documents (transcripts) that have been certified and stamped by the appropriate authority at the issuing institution must be submitted to the University in the original sealed envelope. If the envelope has been previously opened, the documents are no longer considered official and will not be accepted. Once you have completed the steps above, it’s time to start thinking about things you want to bring with you to the USA. You might like to bring a few things from home to decorate your room but remember you can buy most things you will need when you get here.
There is no dress code for your classes, so you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Chicago weather can be chilly depending on the season, so make sure you pack a warm coat and plenty of layers. Remember you can always buy more clothes when you get here.

If you need to bring any medication with you, make sure you pack it in your hand luggage. Any prescriptions will need to be translated into English.
